Eli Lotar
Catalogue of the exhibition

French photographer and cinematographer of Romanian origin, Eli Lotar arrived in Paris in 1924. Close to Germaine Krull, Lotar rapidly became one of the first avant-garde photographers in Paris.
The role of this important figure in modern photography is revealed from a new light, through key themes ranging from the New Vision Movement to documentary film, as well as Lotar’s urban, industrial and maritime landscapes, his portraits, or his models adopting various poses for the camera, and, finally, Lotar’s social and political interests.
