"Fellini, reader of Petronius, on Satyricon," by Bruno Racine
The Fellini laboratory 4

Series of talks: "The Fellini laboratory"
Behind the poetic power and mechanics of memory deployed in Fellini’s films lay a “complex production process” (preparatory drawings, the meticulous choice of actors, etc.) which had both the experimental quality of a laboratory and the organisational rigour of a “factory,” a fantasy factory where the tasks of desire were divided up and allotted. The end result of this process combining seemingly heterogeneous activities was the coherent and indivisible finished work. This series of talks looks at Fellini’s working processes from four different angles.
> 4: "Fellini, reader of Petronius, on Satyricon," by Bruno Racine,
president of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France.
Tuesday 1 December, 7 pm. Free entrance on presentation of the exhibition ticket (valid same day only) and for members.
