Virginie Yassef: "La seconde est partie la première"

Virginie Yassef (born 1970) makes videos, photographs and sculptures that seem to draw on the world of childhood.
Seen by this artist, everyday actions and simple situations take on a new dimension. In her project for Jeu de Paume, Yassef, who often calls on visitor participation in her installations, questions the role of the body in the exhibition space. Working with other artists (visual artists, composers), she experiments with a scenographic collaboration.
