Ali Kazma. Subterranean
Tour of the exhibition with Pia Viewing, curator
31 October 2017
18h00 to 19h00
Concorde, Paris

Exploring fundamental questions relating to the meaning of human activity, be it economic, industrial, scientific, medical, social or artistic, each of Ali Kazma’s videos explores a particular aspect of the changes afoot in our world. Together, these works form a growing archive of human activity. Kazma does not seek to simplify but, on the contrary, to add to the complexity and mystery of the world, opening up and eliciting an aesthetic and ethical discourse based on a set of interconnected themes.

“Subterranean”, Kazma’s solo show at the Jeu de Paume, sets out to reveal the evolution of Kazma’s work over the past ten years by including an important number of his recent works, in particular two works made specifically for this exhibition. Around twenty video works and one photographic publication – an artist’s book – will be on show.

Exhibition tour with Pia Viewing, curator, Tuesday 31 October at 6 pm. Free for members and holders of a ticket to the exhibition for that day. Information: infoauditorium@jeudepaume.org
